Work has now been completed on our third ShireLiving scheme, Elmwood at Northfield Village, in Stafford and the first residents will move in this week.
Elmwood’s 80 modern, self-contained one and two bedroom apartments have been designed with the future needs of our growing older population in mind and offer the over 55s independence coupled with the peace of a mind of help being on hand 24/7 if needed.
Facilities at Elmwood include a stylish residents’ lounge, pamper and assisted bathroom suites and café which is accessed via a winter garden space. The friendly onsite team at Elmwood offer flexible care and support services meaning that the apartments can be let to people with a mixture of low, medium and high care needs.
Head of Development, Jean Teichmann said: “New homes for older people are much needed across the country and we’re pleased to be investing in quality, innovative housing, like Elmwood across Staffordshire, which will provide integrated services for people as they age.”
Residents will become part of a growing community at Northfield Village which also includes a community hub, public realm and the dementia care home, Limewood. A development of general needs housing will join the scheme shortly.
